A chronological journey through our community outreach programs, awareness drives, and technological innovations in pond restoration and water conservation across rural India.
In a significant milestone for Pondora, 6 experienced pond ambassadors from Bambawar traveled to Abupur to conduct a comprehensive pond rejuvenation training session for budding ambassadors. The session included teaching about Pondora's mission, conducting door-to-door community interviews, and collecting vital data from Abupur pond using our advanced pond monitoring kit. This inter-village knowledge transfer showcases the scalability and impact of our ambassador program in spreading pond restoration techniques.
We organized a comprehensive plastic cleaning drive in Bambawar, where 30 dedicated pond ambassadors came together to tackle plastic pollution around local water bodies. This successful initiative resulted in the collection and proper recycling of approximately 50 kilograms of plastic waste, significantly improving the environmental health of the area and setting a strong example for sustainable waste management practices.
In collaboration with Bisleri, we conducted a powerful awareness drive in Abupur focused on the critical importance of pond rejuvenation. The event brought together students, educators, and community members to understand the environmental and social consequences of pond neglect and learn practical restoration methods.
We conducted a transformative village-wide drive in Bambawar, where we successfully recruited over 30 passionate students as 'Pond Ambassadors'. These young leaders will help promote our vision and spearhead village-wide campaigns to clean and maintain local ponds, creating a sustainable model for community-led environmental stewardship.
We organized a school pond rejuvenation drive in Abupur, where students and teachers actively participated in learning about their local pond. This initiative not only improved the pond's health but also educated the community about the importance of maintaining local water bodies.
Our team had the honor of representing Pondora at the UN House in New Delhi. This event provided a platform to showcase our initiatives and gain mentorship from global environmental leaders. We discussed our ongoing projects and explored potential collaborations to enhance our impact on pond restoration and water conservation.
